ENERGY ENGINEERING (Power for the future)

What are the Universities/Colleges offering Energy Engineering in India
Central University of Jharkhand(CUJ) – Integrated M.Tech Energy Engineering
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) - M.Tech Energy and Environmental Engineering
Anna University - M.E. Energy Engineering
IIT Delhi - M.Tech in Energy Studies

Pondicherry Engineering College - M. Tech (Energy Technology)
IIT, Bombay - M.Tech (Energy Systems Engineering)
PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore - M.E. (Energy Engineering)

Energy Engineering is a multidisciplinary field requiring an integration of physical principles with engineering analysis, augmented with the realities of policy and engineering economics. The program incorporates courses from many departments on campus to create a discipline that is rigorously based in science and engineering, while addressing a wide variety of environmental issues.

Energy engineers apply their skills to increase efficiency and further develop renewable sources of energy. The main job of energy engineers it to find the most efficient and sustainable ways to operate buildings and manufacturing processes. Energy engineers audit the use of energy in those processes and suggest ways to improve the systems.

The Central University of Jharkhand CUJ, established by an act of parliament of India in 2009. CUJ offers 5 year INTEGRATED MASTER PROGRAMS, apart from these regular course it also offers as Ph.d, diploma and certificate programs.
The university is exploring internation collaboration and has entered into an MOU with California state University, USA, for student and faculty exchange.
